Customer: Railway
Project Objective: Conduct user research to help inform the project team that was creating a state of the art work site safety system for railway workers.
Challenge: Provide research insights that would ensure that user needs were accounted for as new technology was introduced into the workplace.
Solution:

  • Conduct contextual inquiry via field visits to both railway work sites and traveling with a railway engineer to better understand the current safety system.
  • Analyze the data and create a report that highlighted key user needs for the new system.
  • Participate in working meetings with engineers and vendors to help guide the decision making process as it related to system design and technology purchases.
